Resident Evil Village may be continuing a previous story but that doesn’t make it any less stellar when compared to past RE games. The graphics have been thoroughly enhanced, though. Much of the gameplay is the same, but the inventory system here is notably similar to RE4’s. However, the reappearance of someone familiar to the couple sets off a chain of events that lead to a whole new nightmare. The story is set a few years after the events of RE7, wherein Ethan and Mia are now living peacefully in a snowy remote location. In this title, you play in the first-person perspective again and control Ethan Winters, the protagonist of the previous game. This gameplay style had been a divergence from the action-shooter genre of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 and instead, had been a return to the original games’ survival horror focus on exploration. Lady D didn't need to be scarier than she already is, but Thomas's big, glassy eyes really upped the fear factor.Resident Evil Village, also known as “ Resident Evil 8”, follows up on both of RE7’s storyline and gameplay. Thomas has become such a modding staple over the years that it was inevitable we'd see him modded over one of the in-game enemies. You can either get one that just replaces the face, or one with Lady D's dress dyed Thomas blue, depending on how much Tank Engine realism you want in Resident Evil. Out of all the mods out so far, none of them quite match the horror that is Count Theodora, or Thomas the Tank Engine's face modded onto Lady D's by XxCRAZYPOTATOxX. Some of them …īut if you're going to replace Lady D with anything, then it should be something almost as intimidating and terrifying as she is.
